GOVERNOR Emilio Ramon P. Ejercito, III
Emilio Ramon Pelayo Ejercito, III (born October 5, 1963), is commonly known as Gov. E.R. Ejercito and also popularly known by his official movie screen name Jeorge "E.R." Estregan (George Estregan, Jr.). He is an Eight-Time Best Actor Awardee in the Filipino Movie Industry and a Presidential Lingkod Bayan Awardee when he was Governor of the Province of Laguna (2010-2014). Prior to his election as Governor, he was a Two-Time LGLA Outstanding Mayor of the Philippines Awardee, and a Top-Fifteen LMP Champion Mayor of the Philippines Awardee when he was Mayor of the Town of Pagsanjan (2001-2010), the Tourist Capital of Laguna. He was President of the Actors Guild of the Philippines (KAPPT) (2005-2009). He is a grade school and high school graduate of La Salle Greenhills. He finished Advertising and Visual Communications at the University of the Philippines; Local Administration and Community Development at the UP-NCPAG; Strategic Business Economics at the University of Asia and the Pacific, and National Security at the National Defense College of the Philippines. He is the son of Multi-Awarded Movie Actor George Estregan of Cavite City/Pagsanjan, Laguna and Educator Ramona Telan Pelayo of Ibajay, Aklan. He is the nephew of the 13th Philippine President and now Manila City Mayor Joseph "ERAP" Ejercito Estrada. He is the great-grandson of undivided Davao province Governor Pantaleon A. Pelayo. He is married to Pagsanjan Mayor Girlie Javier Ejercito (Maita Sanchez) and they have six children - Eric, Jet, Jerico, Jhulia, Diego and Gabriela.
